New Voters Project
The New Voters Project is a student organization which works with GSB and other student organizations to raise awareness about voting. They work to register students to vote, as well as coordinate other events on campus.
ISU Ambassadors
ISU Ambassadors is the student organization which works to project a positive image of Iowa State to legislators and the media. They work to educate students on lobbying, take trips to the state capitol to meet with legislators, and work to represent and help students in the issues of tuition increases and higher education funding.

WinterFest
In fall 2006, GSB took over the responsibility of putting on WinterFest, the annual Iowa State tradition held every fall. This event, which includes the lighting of the tree on central campus, caroling, hot cocoa, campanile tours, and more, is coordinated by a committee made up of the Director of Student Affairs and other student members.
