The process of requesting money from GSB can be complicated at times, and below are a few documents that hopefully can simplify the process.
GSB Finance 101This document is a complete students' guide to the finance process, with all of the information on who can receive funding, how to get funds, what funds can be used for, and more. This document was designed to be as easy to understand as possible for those unfamiliar with the finance process, or a useful reference guide for those who already are.
“Getting the Cash Guide”Explains exactly the steps involved in getting a GSB senator to write a bill to get your club funding.
GSB Online Finance Process WalkthroughProvides a basic step-by-step procedure for creating and editing your organization's budget through the online budgeting system.
Undergraduate Conference Travel Fund ApplicationThis form is a request made to the Office of the Vice-President for Student Affairs to assist undergraduates in going to conferences. This request is separate from any made to the GSB and can be used to subsidize expenses for organization conferences.
Student Organization Recognition PolicyUniversity policy regarding recognition and classification of student organizations. Status of organizations is reviewed annually by the Student Organization Review Board. Compliance with this policy is required to request money from GSB.
Analysis of Social Services and Evaluation TeamWebsite for the entity that allocates almost $150,000 in student fee revenue to provide human services for ISU students.
Student Organization DatabaseProvides information about every student organization and allows you to search for organizations which you might want to join or simply learn about.
GSB Online Finance ProcessThis is GSB’s online budgeting system. Search for budgets dating back to 2007 for every organization that requested money through the Regular or Special Allocations Processes.
Historical GSB AllocationsSpreadsheet showing GSB Allocations since fiscal year 2008. This includes every dollar that was allocated through Regular and Special Allocations and Senate spending and shows the line items that money was allocated towards. Also provides links to those budgets and bills that provided funding for every organization that has received money from GSB.
Campus Organization Accounting OfficeThis office manages accounts for all of the student organizations on campus.
