Does My Organization Qualify?
Organizations Eligible for Funding
Organizations that meet the following criteria are eligible to receive money from the Government of the Student Body:
- Your organization must be officially recognized by the Student Activities Center as delineated in the Student Organization Recognition Policy
- Your organization must show a broad tangible benefit to the University
- Your organization must be open to all activity fee paying students
- Your organization must not contribute financial or material support to, or accept financial or material support from, any political party or campaign
- Your organization must not be in debt to the GSB or any other entity
- Your organization cannot provide academic credit for membership
- Your organization cannot vote as a member of one or more college councils
- Your organization cannot receive funding from an academic department or college council
- Your organization cannot have a membership or mission consistent with an academic department
- Your organization cannot be one that helps students achieve professional degree status
If your organization meets the previous criteria, please contact the GSB Finance Director with your funding request. They will advise you on the best process from which to request funds and further advise you throughout the funding process.
